Official application for Trezor hardware wallets: manage accounts, update firmware, and maintain custody with industry-grade security.
Trezor Suite is the official application that connects to your Trezor hardware device and lets you securely store, send, receive, swap and manage cryptocurrencies from a single trusted interface. It provides a desktop app and a web-enabled experience designed to keep private keys isolated on your hardware while offering modern wallet features such as portfolio tracking, transaction history, coin management and integrated exchange services.
Trezor Suite centralizes device management and wallet operations: account and address management, transaction creation and signing via the device, labels and metadata for bookkeeping, fiat-rate display, and secure firmware updates delivered from SatoshiLabs. Suite also exposes advanced options — coin settings, auto-eject, view-only mode and experimental feature toggles for power users and developers.
Trezor Suite acts as a management layer while all private keys and signing operations remain on the Trezor device. Sensitive operations—seed generation, PIN verification, and transaction signing—require physical confirmation on the device. Optional passphrase (an additional secret that creates hidden wallets) provides an extra air-gapped layer for segregating holdings or creating plausible deniability. This model minimizes attack surface by keeping secrets off the host machine.
Trezor supports native handling of primary networks—Bitcoin, Ethereum (and ERC-20 tokens), Cardano, Litecoin, and others—while also interoperating with many third-party wallet apps. Supported coin lists change over time; Trezor maintains a current directory of supported and deprecated assets so enterprises and users can verify compatibility before custody operations.
Trezor uses a human-readable recovery seed (12–24 words) to restore wallets. Users must store the recovery seed securely and offline. The optional passphrase extends the seed into hidden wallets; each unique passphrase yields a distinct wallet, so passphrase management is critical. Trezor provides documentation on secure seed storage, metal backup solutions, and recommended recovery procedures for individuals and teams.
Trezor Suite and device firmware receive periodic updates for feature additions, security improvements and bug fixes. The Suite exposes an experimental section for testing incremental features prior to general availability. Organizations should adopt a controlled update policy—staging updates and auditing release notes—to balance security and operational continuity.
